You heard that right - Spiderman and Tom Holland will be returning to the Marvel Cinematic Universe!

Spider-Man Far From Home was a smashing hit in the box office, making over 1 BILLION dollars! It was a huge hit amongst fans. However, recently fans have been devastated as Disney and Sony have come to a stale-mate, resulting in Sony taking over the Spider-Man Character, and leaving the MCU forever, never to be mentioned again. It was heartbreaking, as Spider-Man was primed to be Iron Man's replacement. It was officially announced that Sony and Marvel's deal had come to an end, due to failed negotiations.

Disney wanted to split the movie profits 50-50 with Sony, despite earning 100% of the merchandising rights. Previously, they had only made 5% of the film profit. Disney, being in charge of the storyline, and integrating Spidey into the MCU, felt that they deserved a bigger portion of the cut.

After about a month of negotiations and backlash amongst all Spider-Fans, we got GREAT news today! Posted on the official Spider-Man instagram account, they captioned:

"We have had a great collaboration over the last four years, and our mutual desire to continue was equal to that of the many fans, We are delighted to be moving forward together.” said Robert Lawson, Sony Pictures Chief Communications Officer.

Late on Thursday, Sony and Marvel Studios came to an agreement that will keep Spider-Man and the rest of his friends in the MCU for at least one more solo film! Disney and Marvel will be getting 25% of the profits, as opposed to the 5% it was previously receiving. With that Disney will also be paying for 25% of the flim. It has been announced that Tom Holland will also be featured in an upcoming MCU film outside of Spiderman. (Guardians 3? Thor: Love and Thunder?? What do you think?)

Spiderman 3 is set to release July 16, 2021, and it will be Directed by previous MCU and Spiderman Director Kevin Feige.

As Peter Parker's Story got very complicated towards the end of "Spiderman: Far From Home" everyone is excited to see where they will be taking the story in the third film.

With Peter Parker already appearing in 5 of Marvels films, more films than any other Spider-Man! We are super excited for 6 and 7!

What do you think of today's news? We are VERY excited and can't wait to se what the future brings for Spiderman.

Attached is our video expaining the situation before it was resolved.
